On the fourth day or Chaturthi of Navratri, Maa Kushmanda is worshipped ritualistic pujas. The term Kushmanda means the one who has created the universe. She rides on a lion and has eight hands with seven deadly weapons to her.
Maa Kushmanda is also Adishakti because she is the creator of the whole universe. She is the one who gives the direction and energy to the Sun.
